Ashy Bines is accused of trying to withhold customer receipt

Ashy Bines recently took to her social media to advertise an upcoming clearance sale. Moreover, the products will be from her loungewear and activewear brand Baseline.

In addition, the sale is slated to start on 6th May and is expected to conclude the following day i.e. 7th.

Nevertheless, she went to post a notice that read, ‘Visa, Mastercard, Debit, Apple Pay and cash accepted. No receipts, refunds, or exchanges – all sales are final.’

Besides that, a watchdog account on Instagram shared a screenshot of the same notice. Also, they went on to question the legality of selling clothes without providing receipts.

Meanwhile, this resulted in Bines taking to her Instagram Stories once again to answer these questions a few hours later.

Subsequently, she reposted the price list and tried to clear the air by mentioning, ‘Receipts can be given via email. Just no paper ones.’

Furthermore, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is against a business denying a consumer proof of purchase.

The law says, ‘Businesses must give consumers a receipt for anything that costs over $75.’

They added, ‘For anything under $75, the consumer can ask for a receipt, and the business must provide it within seven days.’

Ashy Bines is blasted for leaving her infant for 48 hours for a girl’s weekend

Ashy Bines clapped back at the netizens who kept on criticizing her for leaving her three-month-old baby daughter for 48 hours so that she can enjoy a girl’s weekend.

If you didn’t know, she was away with her friends for less than two days while her husband Steve took care of their children.

She said, ‘I think it’s wrong for other women to think it’s wrong, to send such a message, and also why would I have children with someone I don’t trust? Wrong to leave my kids with their dad?’

She continued, ‘If a dad went away for 48 hours he’s never even questioned? Steve is way more than capable, he is such a great dad, he’s hands-on, he’s so fun. The kids were absolutely fine.’

Bines stated, ‘I want to create awareness for mummas and remind other mums it’s ok for you to have a life and enjoy other parts of your life not just mum life or just need a break.’
