TikTok is yet another time facing trouble over now FBI claiming the app poses national security concerns and issuing a warning against it. Well, it isn’t the first time when TikTok was said to be having such claims against it. As it even had a ban of the app in several countries over the same security-related concerns. While now FBI is raising the same issue against the Chinese app. So, what did the FBI say about TikTok?

Though TikTok might be having billions of users across the world. This china based app has always been in controversy mostly over its threat to the national security of a country. TikTok is an app coming under ByteDance. That’s the company has its headquarter in Beijing, China.

Now, previously several countries even imposed a ban on the app. Where it claimed that the app could serve severe national security threats. However, the app still continued to be denying those claims and continued functioning across the world as usual.

FBI issues warning against TikTok

Recently the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Christopher Wray came up with a warning against TikTok. As billions of users have been having their accounts on TikTok. Wray on 15th November had a statement. Where he went saying the Chinese app could be a threat to national security. That must not be ignored for sure.

The claim of national security from TikTok could be because of data collection. Which was thought to be an act of the Chinese government. Further, the recommendation algorithm of TikTok must be in control of the Chinese government and could be influencing the users of TikTok which can cause threats as well.

What else did FBI director say about TikTok?

FBI director Christopher Wray pointed out China to House Homeland Security Committee recently. Where he said that when it comes to data mining. China has been an active country to do so with America’s personal and business information.

Hence, if the app is used for a long in the country then it can be risky for TikTok users. As such the app must be taken as a threat to the country’s national security. No doubt, previously too such questions on TikTok were raised. While one more time it’s concerning all.
