No doubt, Nicki isn’t new to such success. However, setting aside the popularity of her new album and its tracks, one of its songs, “Cowgirl,” has been fueling rumors about Minaj. Many have been claiming that the track resulted in a beef with another artist from the music industry who was initially set to feature in the song.
Was Doja Cat to feature in “Cowgirl” song of Nicki Minaj?
Pink Friday 2 album’s song “Cowgirl,” which came out just a few weeks ago, has been trending a lot on social media. The Nicki Minaj song features Lourdiz. However, according to some rumors, it was supposed to be Doja Cat in place of Lourdiz in the track.

Nicki Minaj was even heard saying in an interview with Open Thoughts “The person first recorded it and sent it back”. She added further that the person then mentioned being “in a different era” and decided not to go ahead with the collaboration.
The rapper added, “We got another few comments saying that they don’t really think I like them”. The interview has sparked rumors of a beef between Nicki and Doja. Though Minaj didn’t mention Doja’s name in the interview.

After the interview with Nicki Minaj regarding an unnamed person, whom fans believe could have been Doja Cat, social media has been filled with comments about the “Cowgirl” song by Minaj. Many believe that the track may have led to a beef between her and Doja Cat.
One of the fans about the same wrote as “I can tell that Nicki genuinely wanted Doja on this album cus she keeps speaking abt it but she’s making herself seem angry and bitter even when she ain’t”. Another one commented as “Doja recorded the feature and then didn’t clear the vocals”.
She needs to let it go. She’s passed on a doja cat song before. She had her reasons then just like she did this time. This shouldn’t even been an issue dragged out this long. Like this is something that could’ve remained behind the scenes

Omg I hate to say this, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this was Doja😭. Doja kept talking about how Scarlet was her heavy rap album. Cowgirl would be a singing track so it wouldn’t match her heavy rap era.
