On Sunday, a brand new edition of ABC’s American Idol aired, featuring some outstanding performances by the Top 5 candidates. Carrie Underwood, the Season 4 winner and an American country singer, was their mentor. The candidates put their best foot forward in order to win the country’s votes and secure a berth in American Idol’s Top 3.

The contenders sang a cover of a Carrie Underwood song in the first round. Fans were anticipating HunterGirl’s performance because she and Underwood are both country singers. Her cover of the star’s smash song Undo It, however, did not go down well.

HunterGirl’s favorite week was when she was mentored by Carrie Underwood, a fellow country singer. The judges gave the competitor high marks for her performance. Fans, on the other hand, did not seem to enjoy it as much.

Fans had the following to say about the performance:

That Huntergirl performance was SO BAD, according to one user. “I do not understand the hype.”

According to another user, “I liked Huntergirl at first, but now I’m not so sure. I’m done with her. She, like Noah, can’t keep up vocally with the others.”

Hunter Girl, according to another user, manages to make every song she sings sound exactly like every other song she has ever sung.

Another said that she HunterGirl did a good job karaoke-ing the song. “I’m still not impressed with her.” Huntergirl, according to another, appears to be struggling to “strut.”

What can fans expect from American Idol Episode 19?

This week’s programme aired on ABC on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET. The episode was eagerly anticipated, as the show is rapidly approaching its conclusion. Carrie Underwood will be the coach for the contestants, and they will perform a song of their choice.

The following is the official summary for American Idol Episode 19, titled Top 5:

“The Top 5 Idol finalists will travel to Las Vegas, the Entertainment Capital of the World, to be mentored by Carrie Underwood, an eight-time GRAMMY Award-winning country music superstar and 2005 American Idol winner, at Resorts World Theatre, where she is currently performing her REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency.”

The candidates performed two songs last week. In the first round, they performed a viral TikTok tune, and in the second round, they paid respect to their mothers. Unfortunately, Noah Thompson and Fritz Hager were both diagnosed with COVID-19 and were unable to play in front of a live audience.

Noah, on the other hand, performed live from his hotel room, with Fritz’s taped rehearsal being shown to the audience. Jay Copeland and Christian Guardino were eliminated from the competition after receiving the fewest votes at the end of the show.

The competition will conclude in one week. Noah Thompson, Leah Marlene, Nicolina Bozzo, Fritz Hager, and HunterGirl are the top five contestants. Readers can keep watching American Idol on ABC to see who is crowned the winner.
