Fans Devastated As Aerosmith Announces Friday Night Las Vegas Strip Show Cancellation
4 min readAs a result of an illness, Aerosmith has cancelled its Friday evening show. The band’s Twitter page reports that lead singer Steven Tyler is “unwell and unable to perform,” and as a result, they cancelled the show. It was scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. on Friday. Just over an hour before the show started, the band announced the cancellation on Twitter. Three more performance dates are listed for the band’s limited residency Deuces Are Wild at the Dolby Live Theater at Park MGM for December. Tyler is expected to make a full recovery in time for Monday night’s show, the band said on Twitter. Additionally, the band provided information regarding refunds for Friday’s cancellation.
Tyler entered a treatment program after relapsing following foot surgery in June, causing the band to cancel their residency dates in July. Additionally, Aerosmith recently performed at Fenway Park, making history. 38,700 fans attended the sold-out show, breaking the venue’s ticket sales record. Additionally, the concert marked the band’s 50th anniversary. Boston, thank you so much! As a result of your efforts, Fenway Park broke its 110-year record for most tickets sold for any event! It’s been 50 years and we’re still rocking!!, the band wrote at the time in celebration of the historic performance.

Aerosmith Forced To Cancel Their Las Vegas Strip Show As The Band Frontman Steven Tyler Falls Illness
Aerosmith announced they would cancel the Friday night (2nd Dec) performance of their Las Vegas residency Aerosmith: Deuces Are Wild due to Steven Tyler falling ill unexpectedly. They announced the cancellation via social media moments before they were supposed to perform at Dolby Live at Park MGM. It is with great disappointment that we must cancel tonight’s show in Las Vegas due to Steven feeling unwell. He should be able to perform in Las Vegas on Monday night after making a full recovery. We apologize for the late notice. Refunds will be automatically issued for tickets purchased through Ticketmaster.com. Refunds will be available at the point of purchase for all other purchases. There is no clear indication of what illness Tyler contracted. As Tyler entered a rehab facility, the band cancelled its summer residency. In September, the group returned to the stage for a final run of dates ending on 11th December. In a first for live concerts, Dolby Atmos will be used for this residency.
The Dolby Live venue is a world-class venue for live music in Dolby Atmos audio and one of the most technologically advanced in the world. The band Aerosmith is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the 50 Years Live: From the Aerosmith Vaults, a brand new streaming show series featuring five profound, documented, and unreleased multi-camera live shows from the band’s enormous individual vaults, including five profound, documented, and unreleased multi-camera live shows. Each of the five shows in the series is entirely produced by the band, and the band streams an alternate show every ten years on their official YouTube channel. For the most tickets sold at any time at an MLB stadium, the classic rockers broke Fenway Park’s attendance record in September. Lady Gaga’s August record of 37,200 fans was broken by over 38,700 fans.

We flew across country for this show. Spent thousands $$$ beyond ticket cost. Is Aerosmith going to pay to fly us back out? I wish Steven a quick recovery and sorry he's ill but that's cost us way more than ticket cost.

Thanks for doing it as last minute as possible. Well done. Plane tickets wasted. Can fair wasted. You didn’t know he felt lousy earlier so we could get tix to another show?

Now it’s too late to get tix to another show.
Well done. Thanks for nothing.
The show must go on, I understand that things happen, but canceling at the last minute is disrespectful to your audience, I came from Florida to see you with enthusiasm, so that right now they cancel the concert.
