After a week’s break, the trial of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp has resumed. People are asking if Heard and Raquel Pennington are still friends as a result of this.

Raquel has been a longtime friend of Heard’s and has previously testified in court. Amber Heard mentioned her companion iO Tillett Wright throughout the trial, which began on May 16.

People were quick to bring Raquel back into the picture, despite the fact that her name had not been mentioned at all.

Amber Heard and Raquel Pennington are still friends?

Raquel and Heard are still friends. While some rumors indicate they split up in 2019, this is not the case.

Raquel had come forward to testify during Depp’s libel case against The Sun newspaper in 2020, according to Page Six. Raquel Pennington has also been named as a witness in the future trial, according to Newsweek.

Heard and Raquel had known one other for decades. Raquel has frequently supported the actress off-screen, despite not being active on social media.

Where did iO Tillett Wright come from?

Apart from Raquel, iO was another name that came up during the trial. iO, who is gender-neutral, is a photographer whose work has been featured in a variety of venues.

According to People, in addition to being Heard’s buddy, iO was also close to Depp’s daughter, Lily-Rose Depp. In iO’s Self Evident Project, Lily was also used.

Some folks may recall seeing iO as the photographer that followed Catfish’s Nev Schulman on the MTV show Suspect.

Why was the trail closed?

Judge Penney S Azcarate had prior engagements that required her to take a week off from the trial. There was a 7-day break as a result of this.

Heard had taken the stand before taking a week off to tell her version of the event. On May 16, the trial resumed, and Heard continued her story, with cross-examination beginning as well.

The trial is scheduled to end on May 19. The jury will decide the decision, therefore we may not know the outcome for hours or days.
