Ex-MrBeast Employee Accuses YouTuber of Manipulating Kids and Faking Videos

On July 24, 2024, a YouTuber named DogPack404 released a 53-minute-38-second video titled “I Worked For MrBeast, He’s A Fraud,” in which he claims to be a former employee of Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson. In the video, DogPack404 levels serious accusations against MrBeast and his company, including rigging videos, running illegal lotteries, and selling fake signatures.
DogPack404 begins the video by stating, “Hi, I wanted to provide some context to this video. I am a former MrBeast employee, and today I am alleging that the company rigged videos, did illegal lotteries, and sold fake signatures. I would consider that fraud.” He further accuses the widely popular content creator of manipulating children and fostering parasocial relationships, saying, “It’s a mess, when like, MrBeast contestants are being exposed to, like, minor-attracted persons and the company’s protecting them. You know, there’s a big emphasis at the company of, like, how to manipulate children, like, understanding their psychology and everything, like, that’s sort of used in weird ways. And, you know, there have been, like, parasocial relationships, and you know, encouraging, like, almost children simping for these people. Maybe that’s as nefarious as it gets.”

Allegations of Faking Content
At the four-minute-55-second mark, DogPack404 claims that MrBeast’s videos are fabricated. He references previous exposures of MrBeast’s content being fake and addresses the common defense that the videos are merely entertainment. “MrBeast fakes his videos in ways that are worse than you realize. I say that because he’s been exposed for faking videos before, and the common response is, ‘Why does it matter if the videos are fake? They’re just meant to be entertainment.’ A large part of MrBeast’s brand is the fact that he doesn’t fake videos,” DogPack404 asserts.

To support his claims, DogPack404 plays a clip from MrBeast’s appearance on Bradley Martyn’s Raw Talk podcast, where MrBeast is asked about the authenticity of his videos. Following this, DogPack404 shows snippets from various MrBeast videos, highlighting what he believes to be computer-generated imagery (CGI) and other faked elements. These include scenes from the “Train Vs Giant Pit” video, “Lamborghini Vs World’s Largest Shredder” video, and “We Built a Jet Powered Car for MrBeast” video.
Claims About Specific Videos and Individuals
DogPack404 goes on to scrutinize MrBeast’s “I Survived 7 Days In An Abandoned City” video, alleging that the city was not truly abandoned and that several scenes featured CGI. “This city is not abandoned. These buildings are CGI. It’s not your only way out (using a helicopter), you can literally get an Uber to the airport for $20. That’s not a worker, it’s just a guy,” he claims.
Furthermore, DogPack404 targets videos featuring Mack Hopkins, claiming that all such videos are fake. He accuses Hopkins of being an actor and a secret employee of MrBeast, stating, “This whole room is fake (from the ‘World’s Most Dangerous Trap!’ video). This contestant is an actor and a secret employee at MrBeast. They dive through this fake door twice. This line is scripted. This action is scripted. In fact, pretty much all the videos with Mack are scripted.”
Allegations of Manipulation and Employment Records
DogPack404 also alleges that he found public records indicating Mack Hopkins relocated from California to Greenville, North Carolina, where MrBeast is based, two months before appearing in a MrBeast video. “I found public records showing that Mack moved from California to Greenville, North Carolina, where Jimmy is located, back in August 2023, two months before he appeared as a contestant,” he elaborates. He further claims that Hopkins moved into a million-dollar mansion around the same time and started working full-time on MrBeast’s editing team.
As of now, MrBeast has not responded to DogPack404’s accusations. The video has stirred significant controversy and debate among MrBeast’s followers and the broader YouTube community.
