Eminem’s Manager Paul Rosenberg Worried About 2007 Drug Overdose ‘brain Damage’

Eminem recently shared how his manager, Paul Rosenberg was concerned that he might suffer from brain damage when he was hospitalized after overdosing on methadone in 2007.

Eminem’s manager feared that the rapper might suffer brain damage

Eminem recently sat down with his manager, Paul Rosenberg for an episode on his Paul Pod podcast that was released on 8th September Thursday.

During the interview, the rap star got candid about his battle with addiction that almost caused him brain damage.

He said, ‘It took a long time for my brain to start working again.’

Furthermore, Rosenberg mentioned how he was concerned that Eminem might not survive his overdose in 2007.

He claimed, ‘I mean, you literally were coming off of an overdose and they had to sort of stabilizing you with a few medications. And some of them took you a minute to adjust to – let’s just leave it at that.’

Rosenberg then asked, ‘So you’re learning to rap again, almost literally, right? Because it’s the first time you were creating without having substances in your body in however many years, right?’

Moreover, Slim Shady said that Rosenberg was worried that the rapper might have brain damage.

He recalled, ‘Didn’t you ask the doctors – when I first started rapping again and sent it to you -didn’t you say, “I just wanna make sure he doesn’t have brain damage.”‘

Rosenberg responded with, ‘I thought you might have some permanent problems. Yeah, I was concerned, for sure.’

He further added, ‘I was so happy that you weren’t brain damaged… permanently disabled from rapping again.’

Eminem talks about his recovery following his 2007 overdose

Eminem was hospitalized in December 2007 after he accidentally overdosed on methadone. At that time, he was addicted to prescription medication.

Nevertheless, opioid is now being used to treat victims who are in extreme pain.

According to WebMD, the substance is being used as a treatment for people who are addicted to heroin or narcotic painkillers. 

Meanwhile, Eminem recalled the time over how he miraculously survived a fatal overdose during his recent interview with  Paul Rosenberg.

The Real Slim Shady singer revealed, ‘I was taking 75-80 Valium a night.’

Additionally, he explained, ‘I remember when I first got sober and all the s**t was out of my system, I remember being really happy. Everything was like f******g new to me again.’
