Elon Musk Welcomed Twins With Shivon Zilis Last Year As Per Court Filings

In November 2021, Elon Musk and Shivon Zilis, one of Musk’s top Neurolink executives, unexpectedly welcomed twins! The couple petitioned the court to have their twins’ names changed so that they would “have their father’s last name and incorporate their mother’s last name as part of their middle name,” according to court records obtained by Business Insider, according to Page Six.
According to court records made available to the Insider on Wednesday, the 51-year-old Tesla CEO had twins with Shivon Zilis in November. Texas’s Austin is where the twins were born.
The documents show that Musk and Zilis, who works as the project director for his business Neuralink, requested a name change for their children in April so they would “have their father’s last name and incorporate their mother’s last name as part of their middle name” in Texas.
The twins’ sexes were kept a secret, and the records censored their names.
When did the twins arrive?
The twins were born just a few weeks after Musk and his ex-girlfriend Grimes, despite divorcing in September, welcomed a girl via surrogacy in December. In a cover article for Vanity Fair, she reported the birth of Exa Dark Siderael, whom they have given the moniker Y. X A-12, their 2-year-old son, is also a shared child.
When the piece was published, she tweeted that she and Musk had broken up once more. At the time, she also stated that she and Musk desire more children, telling the publication that “we’ve always wanted at least three or four.”
According to court documents that PEOPLE last month was able to obtain, Vivian’s bid to formally change her name and gender was approved last month.
Musk’s opinion on increasing the birth rate
Musk does not frequently talk about his own family, but he has strong feelings about birth control. In December 2021, Musk told the Wall Street Journal’s annual CEO Council that there are “not enough people” in the world.

Who is Shivon Zills?
Shivon Zilis reportedly first met Musk in 2016 while serving as a director at the artificial intelligence research firm OpenAI. She is now the youngest director on the board; Musk co-founded the business.
Shivon Zilis has worked at Neuralink since May 2017 and currently serves as the company’s director of operations and special projects. Her appointment as Tesla’s AI project lead in the same month is noteworthy.
Zilis, 36, a Canadian native, has recently been mentioned as a potential candidate for Musk to hire to lead Twitter Inc. following his $44 billion takeover agreement, according to sources.
