Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has finally broken his silence on the contentious Amber Heard vs Johnny Depp defamation trial.
The legal team of both celebrities presented their closing arguments. On the 27th of May Friday, the libel case between the former spouses officially entered the jury deliberation.
Shortly after, the billionaire took to his Twitter account to comment on the high-profile lawsuit.

Elon Musk’s name has been mentioned multiple times by both Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s lawyers over the years.
Regardless, he never spoke publicly about his association with the case before.
Scientist and podcaster Lex Fridman asked the billionaire about his takeaways from the trial in a tweet.

Surprisingly Musk replied with a message that read, ‘I hope they both move on. At their best, they are each incredible’.
The 50-year-old billionaire was initially listed as one of the witnesses for Heard in the case. However, he did not appear at the Virginia courthouse to testify in support of her.
Information on why the Tesla CEO did not take a stand was not publicly revealed.
Elon Musk association with Amber Heard
Elon Musk and Amber Heard first met on the set of Robert Rodriguez’s 2013 film, Machete Kills. They were then spotted in 2016, shortly after Heard finalized her divorce with Johnny Depp. Musk also filed for a divorce with his then-wife and actress Talulah Riley around the same time.
Depp claimed that Heard had an extramarital relationship with Musk while she was still married to the Pirates of the Caribbean star. He made these statements when the former couple was dealing with their divorce settlements back in 2020.
Heard’s expert witness and psychologist Dr. Dawn Hughes claimed that Musk and the Aquaman actress started their brief relationship after the 2016 Met Ball gala.
Dr. Hughes also mentioned that while talking about her relationship with Musk, Heard told, ‘I was heartbroken. My soul was dead. Felt nothing then.’
During the $100 million defamation libel case, messages sent by Depp were read in the courtroom. The text exchange was with his former talent agent Christian Carino about Musk and Heard’s alleged relationship.
The 56-year-old reportedly texted, ‘I’ll show him things he’s never seen before.’
Moreover, a CCTV clip of Heard being embraced by Musk in an elevator, supposedly on their way up to the penthouse the actress shared with Depp, was presented to the jury.
