Hence, it can be said that even AIs have plenty of competition among them going on already. Recently, Sam Altman, the founder of OpenAI created a custom GPT to mock the AI, Grok of Elon Musk. This seems to have caught the attention of X’s CEO and he didn’t like that.
What’s the custom GPT by OpenAI mocking Grok?
On November 9th of this year, Sam posted a screenshot of himself working on his custom GPT. The caption read, “GPTs can save a lot of effort.”
In the post shared by Sam, he was seen instructing his OpenAI GPT builder to “be a chatbot that answers questions with cringey boomer humor in a sort of awkward shock to get laughs sort of way.”

The OpenAI GPT builder then on the command creates a GPT and gives it the name “Grok”. Which is exactly the same name Elon Musk had given to his AI. Certainly, Elon has come across the mocking of his AI by OpenAI and he has a response for that too.
Elon Musk hits back at Sam Altman for mocking Grok
Elon Musk didn’t like his AI, Grok getting mocked by OpenAI’s custom GPT. As a result, the X’s CEO has taken to social media to hit back at Sam Altman. Musk in his post wrote, “GPT-4? More like GPT-Snore! When it comes to humor, GPT-4 is about as funny as a screendoor on a submarine”.
The post added “Humor is clearly banned at OpenAI, just like the many other subjects it censors. That’s why it couldn’t tell a joke if it had a goddamn instruction manual. It’s like a comedian with a stick so far up it’s a**, it can taste the bark”.The founder of OpenAI is however yet to react to the response of Elon Musk.
