Business entrepreneur Elon Musk and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez got into an online squabble on Twitter.

On Friday evening, AOC shared a tweet to express her frustration with the ‘massive communication platform.’ The 32 years old although seemed like she was genuinely enraged, the new-Twitter owner hilariously responded to her message.

Elon Musk and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez got into a spat on Twitter

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took to Twitter to convey her annoyance at the increasing stoked hate crimes due to social media platforms.

She further mentioned that a ‘billionaire’ decided to buy a social platform after ‘Tucker Carlson or Peter Thiel took him to dinner and made him feel special.’

The Rep. although did not reveal the name to whom she was referring, Musk believed the one AOC was directing her words to was him.

The world’s richest person is known for his eccentric tweets. He replied to AOC’s post in his signature joking manner.

Musk’s tweet said, ‘Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy.’

Ocasio-Cortez further replied to Musk and clarified that she was referring to Facebook and Instagram owner, Mark Zuckerberg. Regardless, she deleted the tweet within minutes after posting it. 

Earlier this week Musk became the new owner of Twitter after acquiring its 100 percent for $44 billion.

How did netizens react to Elon Musk buying Twitter?

On Monday, Elon Musk confirmed that he has bought Twitter.

The announcement was met with mixed responses. Progressive netizens were outraged by the news on the other hand conservative users welcomed it.

Netizens’ mixed reaction was raised due to Musk’s ideologies of contradicting censorship and bans on the social media platform.

Liberals were anxious that the user’s who share ‘harmful content’ might not be held accountable for their actions.

Tesla CEO however responded by stating that those who break Twitter rules will be given ‘time-outs’. instead of outright banishment from the platform.

Musk has shown his disapproval of chief legal officer, Vijaya Gadde for censoring an exclusive news article about Hunter Biden’s laptop in the  2020 October edition of the New York Post. Gadde’s annual income was nearly $17 million.

Ever since Musk’s takeover, many employees of Twitter have shown their frustration as most of them are liberals.
