Ed Sheeran, ‘The Shape of You’ Hitmaker, Tests Positive for COVID-19: Shared on Instagram

On 24th October, the popular singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran announced on Sunday that he has tested positive for COVID-19. He shared this news on Instagram with his followers and fans. Ed Sheeran wrote in his statement, unfortunately, I have tested positive for COVID-19 and now I’m following government rules and regulations and self-isolating myself.

In an Instagram post, he said, I won’t be moving ahead with any in-person commitments for now. So, I will try to do as many of my planned interviews and performances as I can from home.

Further, he added, “I’m sorry everyone I’ve let down. Be safe everyone.” On Sunday, Ed Sheeran is planning to release his fifth album titled ‘Equal.’

Ed Sheeran lined by Shows and Events

At the inaugural Earthshot Prize Awards which was hosted by the Duke and Duchess Cambridge, he played last week in London. Ed was assumed to join Apple Music’s Zane Lowe live to play brand new music next week.

From April to September next year, Sheeran is lined up to play many live shows across the UK which comprises a three-night run in London at Wembley Stadium and in Central Europe at Venues.

During his divide tour from 2017-19, Ed last toured in stadiums, breaking U2’s chronicle for the highest-grossing tour of all time. For about 7 million fans he played more than 250 shows.

The COVID-19 news comes just days prior to Ed Sheeran’s fourth studio album which is going to release on 29th October.
On 6 November, he was all set to appear as a musical guest on ‘Saturday Night Live.’
