Rumors over Drake being taken into custody in Sweden spread like wildfire all over social media. However, after recent reports, those speculations turned out to be inaccurate.

Were Drake and his security arrested in Sweden?

On Wednesday, 13th July controversy broke out that he and his security were arrested at a nightclub by Swedish authorities.

According to those rumors the Grammy-winning artist was allegedly charged with possession of marijuana.

Shortly after the speculations, several popular accounts on Twitter and Instagram confirmed that he has not been arrested in Sweden.

Furthermore, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Drake’s team has mentioned that the rapper is staying at a hotel in the Swedish capital.

The Daily Beast’s senior reporter tweeted, ‘I have just spoken to Swedish police regarding rumors Drake has been arrested in Stockholm. Cops will not confirm if there was an incident with the rapper, but, they confirm, that he IS NOT in custody.’

Internet users took to social media platforms to share their feelings on Drake’s supposed arrest in Sweden.

Regardless, Hashtag ‘#FreeDrake’ quickly took over the aforementioned sites, setting the internet ablaze.

One user wrote, ‘Never thought I’d see the day that free Drake is trending.’

Another added, ‘How y’all telling Biden to free Drake bro he’s not even from the United States.’

A different one shared, ‘Drake has been waiting to get arrested so he can rap about it lol that’s the one thing he wants for credibility.’

While another user joked, ‘The day he really gets arrested will be the end of the world and the funniest day on Twitter.’

Furthermore, someone said, ‘Drake getting arrested in Sweden is him cosplaying A$AP Rocky cause he wishes he put that baby in Rihanna instead.’

While another one pointed out, ‘I knew it. No way Drake gets arrested. He’s Drake, not asap Rocky.’

However, some users relentlessly mocked the Toronto music icon’s alleged arrest.

One user added, ‘Drake getting arrested is just karma for Honestly Nevermind.’

Meanwhile, the 35-year-old hip-hop singer dropped his seventh studio album titled Honestly Nevermind in June this year.

Also, A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was arrested in Sweden in July 2019. He was involved in a brawl before his performance at a Stockholm music festival. Moreover, the rapper was detained for nearly a month.
