In connection with XXXTentacion’s murder trial, Drake has been ordered to take a deposition. According to the lawyers for Dedrick Williams, a prime suspect in XXXTentacion’s murder trial, several artists were involved in the 2018 shooting. Among the artists on the list is Drake, who has been ordered to appear before the court. Following XXXTentacion’s murder, rumours circulated that Drake might have been responsible for the shooting that killed him. Defense attorney Mauricio Padilla has now claimed that Certified Lover Boy was somehow involved in the death of XXX. He reportedly attempted to subpoena Drake last month in order to prove his claims. Drake, however, did not appear in court for deposition on January 27, as per a document accessed by Billboard.

A Zoom call deposition has now been scheduled for February 24. He will be held in contempt if he does not comply. The rapper XXXTentacion, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy, accused Drake of ripping off flows from his popular track Look at Me and using them on his KMT in 2017. A year later, XXX, then a 20-year-old rapper, claimed Drake would be responsible for his death if he died. Marca reported that prosecutors in the murder trial claimed that Drake had no involvement in the killing of XXXTentacion, who was killed in a robbery that ‘got out of control.’ A conviction in the case would reportedly result in the three suspects facing life in prison, Boatwright, Newsome, and Williams.

Is Drake Responsible For The Fatal Shooting Of XXXTentacion? Defendant’s Lawyers Suggest Rapper Take A Deposition

In December, the defense team for Dedrick Williams – one of the three suspects on trial for XXXtentacion’s murder – listed a number of musicians as potential witnesses, and now one of them has been ordered to appear in court. Mauricio Padilla believes the Certified Lover Boy superstar is linked to the death of XXX due to a feud between Drake and Jahseh Onfroy, who was shot and killed in 2018. As a result, he subpoenaed the Certified Lover Boy rapper last month in an effort to prove his claim. However, a court document obtained by Billboard indicates that Drake missed his Jan. 27 deposition date and must now appear via Zoom on Feb. 24. There is a possibility that he will be held in contempt if he does not appear again. According to rumours that swirled after XXXtentacion’s death, Drake was involved in the murder. The rumour stemmed from a 2017 beef between XXX and Drake over what they claimed was a rip-off of XXX’s flow from breakout track Look at Me! on Drake’s KMT. When XXX posted a story to his Instagram page tagging, Drake, it said, If anyone tried to kill me, it was @champagnepapi. In response, XXXtentacion claimed he had been hacked; he was fatally shot in Deerfield Beach, Florida, four months later.

A December court filing indicates that Onfroy taunted Graham on social media relentlessly, making statements about his mother and posting a picture of a Drake-like man with semen on his face because Drake did not lend him a hand during his time behind bars in 2016-17. XXX is alleged to have asked DJ Akademiks to repost the photo, escalating tensions. According to the filing, Drake is involved in gang-related activities and has publicly linked himself to Somali Canadian rapper Hassan Ali, a suspected member of the Jungle Bloods Street Gang. During an interview with Akademiks, Ali also revealed that he is Drake’s shooter. Among the others listed as potential witnesses were Quavo, Offset, late Migos rapper Takeoff, Tekashi 6ix9ine and Joe Budden, though prosecutors referred to the move as a stunt at according to the Miami Herald, a subsequent hearing was held. According to prosecutor Pascale Achille, all the evidence indicates that the defendant intends to ‘surprise’ the state and create a trial by an ambush by deliberately disclosing the defendant’s witnesses late in the proceeding. Padilla was then asked to explain in writing why the superstars were relevant to the case by Broward Country Circuit Judge Michael Usan. They are well-known figures. Padilla responded that it was not easy for him to subpoena. The fact that I don’t have numbers doesn’t mean I won’t be able to do it. Subpoenaing Drake requires a drone – it’s not easy.
