Swift, who endorsed President Joe Biden in the 2020 election, has not publicly supported any candidate for the 2024 race. Her stance on various social and political issues, including racial justice, women’s rights, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion, has been well-documented, often putting her at odds with Trump’s policies.

In addition to the Swift-related posts, Trump continued his attacks on Vice President Kamala Harris over the weekend. He shared a series of posts on both Truth Social and X (formerly Twitter) suggesting that Harris harbors communist beliefs. One particularly striking post featured an AI-generated image of Harris addressing a crowd in Chicago with a hammer and sickle symbol in the background, a clear nod to communist iconography.
Trump also shared the front page of the New York Post, which referred to Harris’s economic platform as “Kamunism.” These posts echo a pattern in Trump’s campaign rhetoric, where he frequently attempts to paint his political opponents in a negative light.
Interestingly, Trump’s attempts to link himself with Swift come after years of tension between the former president and the pop star. Swift has been vocal about her disapproval of Trump, particularly during his presidency, when she criticized his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and his record on racial issues. In a 2019 interview, Swift made it clear that she believed Trump was undermining democratic principles, stating, “We’re a democracy—at least, we’re supposed to be—where you’re allowed to disagree, dissent, debate.”
