Don Lemon revealed that his sudden departure from CNN came as a surprise to him along with the audience. However, it appears like it is all behind him now.

Don Lemon says he does not regret leaving CNN
Don Lemon recently revealed that he considers himself a ‘survivor’ after being axed from CNN during a red carpet interview at the Time 100 gala.
He said, ‘I live my life with no regrets. I did what I did and I own it, and so no, I don’t look back and I don’t want to change things in the past.’
He continued, ‘There are lots of things that come your way that are unexpected, but I’m a survivor. I come from strong, sturdy stock in Louisiana and a lot of people are rooting for me and who love me.’

Moreover, he added, ‘Life goes on. That’s behind me and we’ll see what happens in the future.’
In addition, the former This Morning co-anchor claimed that he is not willing to jump straight into work after being fired from CNN.
Lemon revealed that he plans to enjoy his summer with his partner and family on the beach.
He mentioned, ‘Just chill out and then I’ll see what happens next, but I’m fortunate enough to be in a position where I can do that.’
Don Lemon gets sacked from CNN
CNN stunned everyone when they announced on Monday that their longtime relationship with Don Lemon has come to an end.
Chris Licht, chairman of the network declared, ‘CNN and Don have parted ways.’
He stated, ‘Don will forever be a part of the CNN family, and we thank him for his contributions over the past 17 years. We wish him well and will be cheering him on in his future endeavors.’
Besides that, Licht’s comments appear to be in sharp contrast to Lemon’s point of view of the day’s events.
Lemon on the other hand took to his Twitter and claimed that his talent agent had abruptly informed him that he has been terminated from the media network.
Meanwhile, Lemon has earned a reputation for being a fiery political commentator during the eight years he served as a prime-time anchor on CNN.
However, he began to lose support inside the network after he made comments about women and aging earlier this year in February. Additionally, they were widely viewed to be sexist.
