Doja Cat is currently busy working on her new untitled album. She recently pranked her fans by puzzling them about the genre of her latest project.

Here is everything you need to know.

Doja Cat trolls fans over the genre of her new album

Doja Cat shared a series of messages on Twitter on the 20th of September Tuesday night where she confused her fans over an update on her new album.

The discussion came after Doja Cat gave a curious response when she sat down with CR Fashion Book on the 13th of September.

During the interview, the Kiss Me More rapper was asked about her forthcoming project. She replied by saying that it will have a ’90s German rave kind of vibe.’

However, in her recent tweets, Doja Cat cleared the air by revealing, ‘i’m not doing a german rave culture album, you guys. I was pranking the outlet that interviewed me about it. I’m doing an R&B album Straight R&B no rap at all.’

Nevertheless, a few moments later, she once again took to the social media platform to share her thoughts.

Furthermore, she wrote, ‘Yall I was lying. I’m doing an experimental jazz album.’

Additionally, in a follow-up message, she said, ‘jk its r&b.’

She continued, ‘I’m gonna rap on it tho stg. There’s only gonna be one rap verse on it though and it’s gonna be 8 bars.’

Doja Cat then went to write a couple of more tweets before she concluded the prank by sharing the truth about her new project.

As per her messages, the 26-year-old artist is working on a rock album that will include ’emo jams.’ She further mentioned that the album is titled, ‘Rock Out Volume 1 The Abyss 5000.’

However, it seems like the California native have had enough when she lashed out in response last December during an interview with Rolling Stone.

She said, ‘Anyone who says that I’m not a rapper is in denial.’

Doja Cat then added, “They don’t know what they’re talking about.’

Meanwhile, the Grammy-award-winning artist is nominated for three categories at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards.
