It seems Doja Cat does not approve of her fans using a nickname when referring to her fans. Doja Cat fans have dubbed themselves ‘Kittenz’, much like Taylor Swift’s Swifties, Ariana Grande’s Arianators, and Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters. A now-deleted thread on Threads by the Grammy award-winning singer expressed her displeasure with the name. “My fans don’t call themselves kittens or kittenz,” she wrote. “If you call yourself a kitten, Get a Job and Help Your Parents.” She was asked about her preferred name by a fan account called ‘The Kittenz Web’ as a response to her statement.

Her response was, “Delete the entire account and rethink everything.”. Doja Cat’s actions have left many fans frustrated and disheartened. It is never too late.” Moreover, Doja Cat has deleted all of her Threads as well as deactivated her account. Doja Cat has been accused of censoring followers who have criticized her present relationship with Twitch streamer J Cyrus. In the middle of the reaction, key Doja Cat fan pages such as Doja HQ, The Kittens Room, and Doja Cat News have all suspended their Twitter accounts. Doja Cat is set to come out with her fourth studio album later this year, departing from the pop music she has previously released in favour of hip-hop and R&B.

After ‘Get Into It’ Singer Attacked Fans Who Gave Themselves A Nickname To Support Her, Doja Cat Receives Backlash

Doja Cat has pointed out some of her fans for allegedly coining the unofficial term for her devoted audience without her permission. “My fans don’t get to call themselves s—t,” the “Boss Bitch” singer said over the weekend in a string of since-deleted tweets. Then you have to get off your phone, find a job, and work around your parents’ house if you call yourself a ‘Kitten’ or f—king ‘Kittenz’.” One fan soon questioned the rapper’s bizarre words, tweeting, “??? Using solely the name YOU provided your fans.” The “Get Into It” singer attempted to justify her comments to the fan, stating that she came up with the term while she was “an alcoholic teen.” Doja, born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, also chastised one of her supporters for using her “government name” as their social media username. She tweeted, before deleting the comment, “You are creepy as f—k putting my government name as your screen name.” The rapper, who is well-known for her internet trolling, even advised supporters to “delete” any profiles that mention her in any way.

“What should I alter my name to because you don’t like the term kitten,” one fan tweeted to the “Say So” singer. It’s never too late to delete the entire account and rethink everything,” Doja replied. Doja’s severe treatment of her fans has caused some to doubt their devotion to her, with others abandoning her entirely. It’s crazy to see Doja Cat slandering her fans because I don’t understand why you would target your fans for simply giving themselves a name like every other fandom out there,” one fan wrote on Twitter, adding, “I know what signs like these mean.” Another user, whose social media profile includes the phrase “ex kitten,” remarked, “Me making ‘I used[d] to be a doja cat fan’ my entire personality now.” “ It’s unknown what prompted the performer’s outburst, or why she eventually deleted the scathing comments. Regardless, it will be fascinating to see if the roasting has any impact on Doja’s next countrywide tour, which is planned to begin in San Francisco this October.
