Dixie D’Amelio not only just released her latest single, but she also revealed when her debut album will be released!
On June 10th, the LP, a letter to me, will be issued in just TWO weeks. There will be 12 songs on the album, including her smash “Be Happy.”
Dixie D’Amelio recently discussed her new album and the message she aims to convey through it.
“My album’s main concept is that you never have to know who you are since you’re always changing”. “There will never be a complete solution to the question, ‘Who are you and what are you about?'” she told V Magazine.
Dixie D’Amelio and her musical career
Dixie D’Amelio’s first handful of singles have already earned over 500 million streams. But she’s been met with resistance from online detractors who don’t appreciate her attempt to move beyond social media fame. She’s signed with L.A. Reid’s Hitco (the famed producer steered the careers of R&B icons TLC and Usher), and her first handful of singles have already earned over 500 million streams.
Dixie D’Amelio says she’s still navigating the clear expectations that her music success isn’t authentic or unearned because of her social media stardom.
“Because’s been the scary aspect,” she laughs, “that most individuals don’t generally have an audience following their journey of self-discovery when they start music.” “I don’t want to force anything on anyone, so that’s what I’ve been trying to do.” I’m sure I’ve gained a new fan base that despises my [TikTok] videos but enjoys my music, so it’s all different.
