Music mogul Diddy is facing a new lawsuit, this time from a former model who alleges that he drugged and sexually assaulted her in 2003. The model, Crystal McKinney, is seeking unspecified damages for the incident, which she claims took place during a party.
According to a report by TMZ on Tuesday, May 21, Crystal McKinney filed the lawsuit against Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs. McKinney, who was 22 at the time, alleges that she met Diddy at a Men’s Fashion Week event at Cipriani Downtown in New York City. After the event, Diddy reportedly invited her back to his studio, where the alleged assault took place.

McKinney claims that upon arriving at Diddy’s studio, she joined a group of people who were passing around a joint. She accepted a hit, describing the effect of the drug as “very powerful,” making her feel like she was floating. She alleges that Diddy then accompanied her to the bathroom, where he began kissing her and forcibly pushed her head towards his crotch, demanding that she perform oral sex. When she refused, she claims he forced her to comply.
McKinney says she tried to leave but felt woozy and lost consciousness. She recalls waking up in a taxi, realizing she had been sexually assaulted. It is unclear from the lawsuit if she refers to the forced oral sex or another sex act she does not remember.
The traumatic experience led McKinney to attempt suicide in 2004. She also claims that the incident effectively ended her modeling career, as she was blackballed from the industry.
Diddy’s Apology and Other Legal Issues
This lawsuit adds to the growing list of legal troubles for Diddy. Recently, a disturbing video surfaced showing him brutally beating his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel hallway in 2016. This video appears to corroborate specific allegations of abuse in her November 2023 lawsuit against him.
In addition to the lawsuit from Crystal McKinney, Diddy is facing several other legal challenges. Following the Cassie lawsuit, which he settled a day after it was filed, three other women and a man have come forward with accusations of sexual misconduct against the Bad Boy founder. These cases have placed Diddy under intense scrutiny, raising questions about his past behavior and the potential for further allegations.
As the legal proceedings unfold, Diddy’s team has yet to comment on the latest lawsuit from McKinney. The developments in these cases will likely continue to generate significant public and media attention.
