3 min readAnna Kane, the ex-wife of NHL player Evander Kane, has amended her 2023 lawsuit to include her name, dropping the pseudonym “Ms. Doe” under which she originally filed. Kane alleges that music industry figure Sean “Diddy” Combs and two other individuals engaged in misconduct toward her in New York City when she was 17 years old.
Allegations of Serious Misconduct
Kane states that the events began in Detroit in 2003 when she met Diddy’s longtime associate Harve Pierre at a nightclub. According to the complaint, Pierre contacted Diddy and facilitated a conversation between the two, during which she was invited to travel to New York.

Kane alleges that upon her arrival, she was brought to Diddy’s recording studio, where she was given substances that impaired her ability to make decisions. The complaint further details instances of non-consensual behavior involving multiple individuals.
Her attorney, Douglas Wigdor, addressed the decision to proceed under her real name, stating that Kane would not be deterred despite alleged pressure to maintain anonymity:
“Defendants’ demand that I use my name was an attempt to intimidate me, but I am not intimidated. I am prepared to proceed and hold accountable those who have harmed me.”
Diddy’s Response to the Lawsuit
In response to the allegations, Sean Combs has publicly denied any wrongdoing and has vowed to defend himself against the claims. He issued a statement declaring his commitment to clearing his name:
“ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation, and my legacy. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family, and for the truth.”
