The actor, Devin Ratray has been arrested and faced charges after allegedly trying to strangle his girlfriend.
It has been reported by KTLA sister station, KFOR that this all happened when they were in Oklahoma earlier this month. The actor portrayed in the first two “Home Alone” movies is McCallister.
Who is Devin Ratray?
Ratray is 44 years old and an American actor, producer, and writer. He has been charged for domestic assault and battery by strangling his girlfriend on Tuesday.
Ratray played the role of the older brother of Macaulay Culkin’s character Kevin McCallister in the 1990s-era holiday movies.
Devin worked in the 1990 film and its sequel in 1992. Ratray has portrayed as a role of elder brother who seems to have a difficult relationship with his younger sibling. It was all before he grows up to be a police officer in the revival.
Devin Ratray Charges Explained
The actor, Devin Ratray has been arrested for an altercation with his girlfriend on Wednesday, December 22. The warrant was issued by the authorities in Oklahoma City on December 21, Tuesday.
It has been revealed by the online court records that Ratray has been charged with one count of domestic assault and battery by strangling his girlfriend and another count of domestic assault and battery. $25,000 was set as his bond.
According to KFOR, Ratray was in Oklahoma City for a Christmas convention with his girlfriend from December 4 to December 5.
Ratray Strangled His Girlfriend
The authorities have been told by his girlfriend that Ratray was drunk. He has 10 shots of booze and a bottle of wine at two different locations.
At the bar, two fans came to them for an autograph. His girlfriend did not charge for the autograph cards that she gave to the fans. This made Ratray upset and they both got into an argument at the bar.
Eventually, they continued their argument in their hotel room too. During an argument, Ratray allegedly pushed his girlfriend onto the bed. He placed one hand on her mouth while another on her throat. Ratray applied pressure that troubled his girlfriend in breathing.
The actor allegedly told his girlfriend, “This is how you die.” His girlfriend bit Ratray’s hand, who was struggling in breathing. Ratray stopped choking her. Instead, at that point, he punched her in the face.
After then, the girlfriend left the room. KFOR reports that the lady has several injuries including bruises under her left eye, marks above the left side of the upper lip and under her right eye, a sore right arm, and a bruise on her chest.
