Here is everything you need to know.

Did Amy Schumer sue Judd Apatow?

Amy Schumer’s character is introduced within 15 minutes into the opening episode where we see her bumping into Oliver Putnam.

During the conversation, Putnam asks Schumer whether she is suing him.

The Parks and Recreation star jokingly responds, ‘No, I only sued Judd Apatow.’

However, Schumer never publicly sued the filmmaker which means that it was just dialogue from the series.

Amy Schumer and Judd Apatow’s relationship

Amy Schumer and Judd Apatow have previously worked together for 2015’s rom-com film Trainwreck starring Bill Hader.

Schumer wrote and starred in what was her feature film debut while Apatow served as the director.

The comedy film went on to earn a whopping $140.8 million at the box office across the globe. Schumer even bagged a Golden Globe nomination for her performance.

Regardless, many believe the duo to be quite close and deem Apatow as a mentor figure to the actress during her transition from stand-up comedy to the big screen.

Furthermore, the pair never had a public falling out which likely proves that Schumer did not sue Apatow in reality.
