But what remains a mystery about his ban to this day is that neither Twitch nor DrDisRespect has revealed the real reason behind it. In fact, recently, when Twitch CEO Dan Clancy appeared on Mizkif’s livestream, he was asked about the reason behind DrDisRespect’s ban. Here’s what Clancy said about it.

It was recently on Mizkif’s channel that Twitch CEO Dan Clancy appeared to share his thoughts. However, Mizkif ended up asking the CEO of Twitch about one of the streamers permanently banned from the platform, DrDisRespect.
Well, Dan Clancy didn’t give a straightforward answer to the question about why DrDisRespect was permanently banned from the platform. However, he jokingly replied that it was because “Aliens possessed DrDisRespect.”

Dan Clancy, though he wasn’t the CEO of Twitch when DrDisRespect was banned from the platform, might know the exact reason why the streamer was permanently banned. Yet, he chose to give a playful reply to Mizkif’s question about the streamer.
The Twitch CEO added, “DrDisRespect actually took over the globe using Twitch, and the only way we could save civilization was to take the action we did. So it was to save civilization.” With that, everyone was once again left without an answer to the mysterious ban.
Not to mention, DrDisRespect continues to appear on YouTube and has not returned to Twitch since his ban.
