DaBaby addresses Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Boogeyman’ lyrics controversy

DaBaby recently opened up about the controversial lyrics in his track Boogeyman where he claimed that he had an intimate moment with Megan Thee Stallion.

DaBaby alleged that he slept with Megan Thee Stallion in ‘Boogeyman’

DaBaby finally broke his silence on Megan Thee Stallion and the controversial lyrics of his song ‘Boogeyman’ while talking with Ebro on his podcast  In The Morning on Hot 97.

He mentioned, ‘The song been done for real. Damn near going on a year. When I say something, it’s gon’ go out.’

Moreover, the host asked the 30-year-old singer to clear the air regarding his relationship with the Savage rapper.

However, DaBaby responded with, ‘It is what it is. I said a long time ago, keep me out of the business. It’s a song. It’s out right now. Ni**as can take it how they want to take it.’

In addition, he insisted that he was not trying to get back at the 27-year-old hip-hop star. 

Ebro on the other hand suggested that it appears like DaBaby is thriving off the controversies surrounding his music career.

But, the Ohio native shared, ‘Nah, it’s just, I can’t duck it.’

Furthermore, he explained why he did not change the lyrics of the track despite receiving tons of backlash.

DaBaby said, ‘I d on’t change lyrics though. It doesn’t matter what I say.’

DaBaby made headlines when he released his new  14-song LP, Baby on Baby 2 which features the controversial track Boogeyman in which he discusses his messy sexual encounters with Megan Thee Stallion.

Some of the lyrics went as, ‘You play with me, that shit was childish / The day before she said that Tory Lanez shot her / I was fu**in’ on Megan Thee Stallion.’

He further raps, ‘Waited to say that sh*t on my next album / Hit it the day before too / But I kept it player, ain’t say nothin’ ’bout it.-

DaBaby sings, ‘Had her pretty boy, boyfriend tweeting me, ready to die ’bout the b**ch like a coward/I told you ni**as don’t play, now you gone have to handle me/I poked the m***af**kin bear, I’m an animal.’

If you didn’t know, the Suge singer collaborated with Megan Thee Stallion in his songs titled, Cash Sh*t and Cry Baby.

However, the two reportedly had a fallout following DaBaby’s collaboration with Tory Lanez.
