A missing autistic adolescent “Connerjack Oswalt” from Northern California was recently discovered in Summit County.

The teen “Connerjack Oswalt” was reported missing by the Clearlake Police Department on September 29, 2019. He was last seen a week later in neighboring Willows, California.

His stepfather, Gerald Flint, told FOX 13 News, “We’ve had a lot of false optimism over the previous two and a half years.”

In 2014, Connerjack was diagnosed with autism. Since his abduction, his family has been scouring the streets for unidentified individuals and even examining morgues.

Residents have reported seeing someone in the vicinity pushing a shopping cart

Members of the Park City community have recently begun reporting a person seen pulling a shopping cart in the area. Deputies from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office came into contact with the man a few times. But because he hadn’t been committing any crimes, they only checked on him and never learned his identity.

“In our dealings with this man, he has never been aggressive toward law enforcement, but he has been resistant to law police,” said Summit County Sheriff Justin Martinez.

The dispatch center received a call about a man sleeping outside of a store in Jeremy Ranch over the weekend.

“Deputies [were] dispatched early in the morning, and it’s the same individual we’ve been dealing with for a previous couple of weeks,” Sheriff Martinez stated, before going on to describe his condition, which matched the body camera footage obtained by FOX 13 News. The individual was persuaded to warm up in the front seat of one of the deputies’ police vehicles. Because he wouldn’t tell police his identity, the man agreed to a finger scan. The scan revealed a warrant for Connerjack Oswald issued in Nevada.

“The Deputies once again believed there was more to this narrative, that there was something more to these people’ reluctance to communicate,” Sheriff Martinez said.

The teen’s name is Connerjack Oswalt

Dispatchers started looking through the database of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. “I came up with the name, Connerjack Oswalt, after approximately 16 pages of combing through names and images and attempting to find something that would match together,” Martinez said.

Connerjack’s last name was spelled differently in both study methodologies. They were able to contact his family, who had relocated from California to Idaho. After their home was severely damaged in a wildfire, once they were confident in the identification.

Connerjack’s mother and stepfather discussed how tough it has been to not know the status of their kid for the past few years.

“It’s remarkable that he’s still alive,” Flint added.

“All we want is for him to be secure and alive, and for us to get our son back.” “That is the most significant thing we have ever done,” Suzanne stated.

Connerjack is now safe and sound in a treatment center. His family is relieved to know that he is doing well.
