Concerns Rise as ‘Teen Mom’ Star Kailyn Lowry Opens Up About ‘Traumatizing’ Birth Experience for Son Rio

Kailyn Lowry recently opened up about her son Rio’s traumatizing birth in her podcast episode, as she is expecting again. Kailyn Lowry, the popular TV personality, is expanding her family, and she recently shared her unexpected birthing experience during Rio’s birth.

TV personality and Teen Mom 2 alum Kailyn Lowry has been one of the popular figures, particularly known for her big family with five sons. After revealing the birth of her fifth baby, Rio, Kailyn announced that she was pregnant again. Moreover, she shared that she is expecting twins this time.

In her Instagram post, Kailyn announced that she was expecting twins with her partner, Elijah Scott. While Kailyn is excited to become a mother again to her twins, her birthing experience during Rio’s birth was something unexpected.

Kailyn Lowry often discusses her personal life on her podcast, Barely Famous. As Kailyn is expecting once again, she recently sat down with her partner, Elijah Scott, to talk about her last birthing experience. During the episode, both recalled how Lowry began having contractions ahead of her due date.

About her experience during the birth of Rio, Lowry said how the baby had “failed every last bit of” the biophysical. She said, “So that was a deciding factor that they were going to augment the process by speeding things up. I don’t know how I feel about that now”.

According to Lowry, she had to push the baby out after 17 hours of labor. When asked why Scott didn’t cry at the time of Rio’s birth… Scott responded “The reason is when he came out, they said [his breathing] was hard to find. They took him over to the little baby stand thing and he was barely breathing and also had fluid in his lungs”.

He added, “I’m worried about him and you’re over here crying asking if he’s okay. And I’m like, ‘yes, he’s fine'”. To which Lowry said “But he wasn’t fine”. Scott says “No but I’m trying to keep you calm and still trying to worry about him. It’s kind of traumatic in a way”.

In her recent Barely Famous podcast episode she recalled looking back at Rio’s birth photos. About which she said that it was “all the way traumatizing” to her.

Meanwhile, about her other kids, Lowry added “My biggest thing right now is that i don’t want my other children to be the responsibility of their older siblings”.
