Chris Daughtry revealed the cause of his stepdaughter Hannah Price’s death, two months after she passed away. In a news statement, the couple revealed that Hannah Price died due to suicide.
Hannah Price’s Cause Of Death Confirmed
Hannah Price, the late stepdaughter of the American singer, musician, and actor Chris Daughtry died on November 12, 2021. Her body was found at her house in Tennessee. There had been a lot of speculations regarding the reason for her death. After a thorough investigation, Chris Daughtry and his wife released a news statement to reveal the same. They confirmed that Hannah Price died due to suicide and was under the influence of drugs.
Hannah Price’s family further revealed that throughout her life she battled mental illness. As a result, she had to constantly visit therapy sessions and treatment centers. As she grew older, she found it difficult to gain her footing and hence, began using drugs. She often encountered abusive relationships. Hannah, after losing her biological father to suicide, was shot in the face in the aftermath of a crime within a few months. The family added that Price called them on the morning of her death, and expressed fear for her life.
In order for her to recover from these tragedies and rebuild her life, Chris Daughtry and his family did everything in their power to support and guide her. They had made arrangements for Hannah to seek further treatment. Also, they had plans to have her relocated to live closer to the family.
What Led To Hannah Price’s Death?
Hannah Price’s abusive relationship with her boyfriend ultimately led to her death. Her current boyfriend not only physically abused her but also stole her car. She needed immediate help. Fentress County Police Department immediately performed a wellness check at the family’s request. At about 12:45 pm, officers spoke with Hannah and ensured that she was fine. Hannah was found hanging later that afternoon by her boyfriend, who called 911. The medical professionals confirmed her death at the very scene. Fentress County Sheriff Office and the Knoxville Medical Examiners Office have confirmed that there are no signs of foul play. They added that she committed suicide under the influence of drugs.
