Chelsea Handler and Jo Koy have officially called it quits after less than a year of dating and nearly fifteen years of friendship.

Chelsea Handler took to her Instagram to break the news of her split with Jo Koy ahead of their one-year anniversary.
She wrote in the caption, ‘In anticipation of celebrating our first year together, Jo and I recorded this video early. As many of you have noticed, it is with a heavy heart to announce that we have decided together that it is best for us to take a break from our relationship right now.’
The 47-year-old television host had nothing but kind words for her now former beau.
She said, ‘This man blew my heart open with love and because of him, my life experience has changed forever. To be loved and adored by @jokoy has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. He renewed my faith in men, in love.’
According to sources, Handler and Koy decided to part ways mutually after the former guest hosted Jimmy Kimmel Live nearly a month ago.
Chelsea Handler and Jo Koy’s relationship explored
Chelsea Handler and Jo Koy have been friends for almost two decades. They first met each other through their mutual friend and comedian Jon Lovitiz before either of them was famous.
Regardless, the pair were first linked romantically to each other in June 2021 when Handler shared multiple videos of hanging around with Koy on her socials.
Furthermore, they officially announced their relationship on Instagram in September last year.
A month later in October, the duo shared that their friendship turned into something more after they spend a ‘romantic comedy’ week together in Los Angeles.
Moreover, while talking with Hoda & Jenna for TODAY magazine, The Chelsea Handler: Evolution star opened up about her romance with the stand-up comedian.
She noted, ‘I think it was therapy. I went to therapy, and I was able to see things with a different lens, and then I had this great guy in my life who just kind of wore me down, and then I capitulated.’
On the professional front, Handler is all set to soon head out on a comedy tour for the remainder of 2022.
Koy on the other hand is busy promoting his upcoming film Easter Sunday in Los Angeles.
