Over the weekend, rumors swirled on social media, suggesting that Charleston White, a controversial internet personality, had been shot in Chicago. The speculation began after a Chicago Police Department dispatch call reported a man identifying himself as Charleston White claiming he had been shot by three men outside Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Emergency teams responded quickly but found no victim at the scene, leading to widespread confusion and further speculation.

The Rumors Take Off

On Sunday, October 20, 2024, social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram exploded with claims that Charleston White had been involved in a shooting in Chicago. A recording of the 911 call where a person reported being shot near the hospital quickly gained traction, causing fans of the popular podcaster and comedian to fear for his safety. Many took to social media, offering prayers and expressing their concern for White’s well-being.

However, shortly after the rumors began to spread, Charleston White himself stepped in to set the record straight.

Charleston White Responds: “I Ain’t Got Shot”

In a two-minute video posted by X user @FearedBuck, Charleston White emphatically denied the shooting rumors. He humorously dismissed the idea that he would be in Chicago, stating that he wasn’t planning to visit the city anytime soon and joked that people would have to catch him in Atlanta if they wanted to harm him. In the clip, White pokes fun at the situation, saying, “Listen, them ni**as mad at me. They mad ‘cus I ain’t got shot. If anybody knows me, they know I ain’t going to Chicago.”

He continued to engage with fans in a lighthearted way, shouting to passersby from his car, “They said Charleston got shot in his a! They say Charleston White got shot in Chicago,” with people from another vehicle responding in support, saying, “We fk with you man.”

Was It A Different Charleston White?

Following the viral report, some users speculated that the individual involved in the police call might not have been the famous Charleston White, but someone else with the same name living in Chicago. One user posted, “There’s a Charleston White who lives in Chicago. It’s a different Charleston. Just a crazy coincidence.”

Other social media users quickly added that the scanner report described the supposed victim as being in his 30s, while the well-known Charleston White from Texas is in his 40s, further distancing him from the incident.

After emergency responders and hospital officials confirmed that no shooting had occurred, many speculated that the call might have been a prank. There are even suggestions that the false report may have been made using a hospital landline, further complicating the situation.

Although this incident may have caused a brief panic, Charleston White made it clear that he was unharmed and, in typical fashion, used the moment to joke with his fans.

Charleston White’s Recent Controversies

This isn’t the first time Charleston White has found himself in the spotlight for less-than-favorable reasons. Recently, he was arrested on charges of animal cruelty and aggravated assault, according to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office. Despite these controversies, White remains a prominent figure on social media, frequently drawing attention for his outspoken views and bold personality.

For fans of Charleston White, the shooting rumors were nothing more than a viral misunderstanding or potentially a prank. Charleston White himself has since spoken out, assuring everyone that he is safe and unscathed, even making light of the situation in his typical, humorous style. As of now, the true nature of the police call remains unclear, but it’s evident that Charleston White was not involved in any Chicago shooting.
