On June 23, 2024, YouTuber and comedian Charleston White took to Instagram to express his thoughts on the matter. White criticized Tia Kemp for publicly shaming Rick Ross, calling her a “horrible Black mother” and emphasizing that she chose the father of her child. In his caption, White wrote, “She’s emasculating her male son by publicly shaming the father of her son! She’s a disgrace as a Black mother.”

White further argued that Tia’s public remarks about Rick Ross have a negative impact on their child. He stated, “You’re actually talking about your children,” and cited this situation as a reason he chose not to have children with a Black woman.

The controversy began when Rick Ross shared an Instagram

story on Father’s Day, celebrating the end of his child support payments. Ross referred to the timing of his last payment coinciding with Father’s Day as a “divine divinity.” However, his ex-girlfriend Tia Kemp was quick to respond with a scathing video. She criticized Ross for celebrating the end of his child support obligations, calling him a “stupid, silly mtherf*ker” and threatening to take him back to court for additional support while their son attends college.

In her video, Kemp accused Rick Ross of not being worth her time and effort spent in court. She also alleged that Ross was taking Ozempic, a medication used for weight loss. To underscore her anger, she burned a photo of the rapper in a metal container in her living room.

Charleston White responded to Tia Kemp’s video by highlighting the damaging effects of her words on their child. “So as you talk about your children’s mother or father, you’re actually talking about your children because you have the same chromosomes,” White stated.
