Shortly after Rick Ross celebrated the end of his child support obligations on June 16, 2024, his ex-girlfriend Tia Kemp publicly lashed out at him. Rick Ross and Tia Kemp share a son, William Roberts III, and their contentious relationship has once again made headlines.
On June 23, 2024, YouTuber and comedian Charleston White took to Instagram to express his thoughts on the matter. White criticized Tia Kemp for publicly shaming Rick Ross, calling her a “horrible Black mother” and emphasizing that she chose the father of her child. In his caption, White wrote, “She’s emasculating her male son by publicly shaming the father of her son! She’s a disgrace as a Black mother.”
White further argued that Tia’s public remarks about Rick Ross have a negative impact on their child. He stated, “You’re actually talking about your children,” and cited this situation as a reason he chose not to have children with a Black woman.
The controversy began when Rick Ross shared an Instagram
In her video, Kemp accused Rick Ross of not being worth her time and effort spent in court. She also alleged that Ross was taking Ozempic, a medication used for weight loss. To underscore her anger, she burned a photo of the rapper in a metal container in her living room.
Charleston White responded to Tia Kemp’s video by highlighting the damaging effects of her words on their child. “So as you talk about your children’s mother or father, you’re actually talking about your children because you have the same chromosomes,” White stated.

This is not the first time Tia Kemp has publicly spoken out against Rick Ross, leading to legal repercussions. In January 2024, Ross filed a cease-and-desist notice against her, claiming she made defamatory and “disturbingly false” statements about him and his family. The notice also accused Kemp of being obsessed with the rapper and engaging in harassment, including claims that Ross had a sexually transmitted disease.
In response to the cease-and-desist notice, Kemp expressed her frustration in an Instagram Live session, saying, “Sent me a cease and desist. I ain’t lying. It’s the truth. How you gonna sue me for defamation? Sue 50 Cent then. Don’t beef with me.” She referenced Rick Ross’ longstanding feud with 50 Cent, which began in 2008.
