A-listed celebrities are joining in the battle to determine the next mayor of Los Angeles which is between Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.) and billionaire Rick Caruso.
On Tuesday night, the Associated Press called the mayoralty race between the dominating candidates.
The highest vote-getters in the primary race will face each other in the November run-off general election.

Celebrities wade their way into Los Angeles mayoral race
Most celebrities have forked over traditional donations for Rep. Karen Bass. Some of the high-profile names include Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Aniston, and Samuel L. Jackson.
Rick Caruso on the other hand appears to have more vocal support from celebrities on social media platforms.
Caruso is a commercial real estate titan and has been self-financing his campaign.

Rick Caruso does not have many famous financial donors in his favor. Regardless, the billionaire’s team reported that he is receiving tons of online support from celebrities and users alike.
Celebrities have shown their support for Caruso by sharing messages on Twitter.
Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Elon Musk, Gwyneth Paltrow, Snoop Dogg, and Kris Jenner have all endorsed Caruso for L.A. mayor.
Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos, George Lopez, and Maria Shriver are some other notable names to endorse Caruso.

According to the results of Tuesday’s election, Congresswoman Bass has successfully managed to pull in cash contributions from many celebrities.
Jennifer Garner, JJ Abrams, Ken Jeong, Octavia Spencer, Sally Field, and William H. Macy are some of the personalities who pitched in $1,500 each in the favor of Bass.
Furthermore, Jane Fonda pledged $1,200 while Helen Hunt donated $500.
The Office alum Rashida Jones and Donald Glover chipped in $1,000 each.
Caruso is not slacking off on social networking sites either.
Grammy awards winner John Legend has thrown his support for Bass.
Tiffany Haddish has also backed the Democratic congresswoman and openly called for Angelenos to vote for Caruso in the voting booths.
Norman Lear, Ariana Grande, Magic Johnson, and Tracee Ellis Ross are some other notable names to endorse Bass.
L.A.’s Ethics Commission revealed that as of 1st June Bass has successfully raised $3.6 million in cash contributions.
Caruso’s campaign contributions amount to over $38 million, $37.5 million is reported to be his money according to Vanity Fair.
