Cardi B weighs in on Lizzo’s lyrics controversy

Cardi B got herself into a heated debate with an online user amid Lizzo’s lyrics controversy,

A Twitter user named @FeministaJones tweeted about the Bronx bombshell’s ability to not receive backlash despite using offensive words in a song while Lizzo continues to face criticism for using one ableist slur in the opening verse.

She wrote, ‘Cardi is slim and light-skinned. She will often ‘get away’ with more than other women, especially those who look like Lizzo, will. That’s the world we live in.’

The user continued, ‘People may get mad but I don’t care lol. Colorism and fatphobia shape SO MANY reactions and extensions of grace.’
