Another Hallmark Channel movie queen is stepping down in favour of a chance to rule over the network’s newest rival.

Following Danica McKellar, Candace Cameron Bure, who has starred in over two dozen Hallmark movies since 2008, has signed a deal with GAC Family (aka Great American Country).

The actress has always been best recognized for her role as DJ Tanner on “Full House,” as stated by her IMDb biography. It included her return to the role in Netflix’s mid-2010s reboot, Fuller House.

The star of Full House has moved on to Hallmark’s greatest rival

Candace Cameron Bure has decided to leave Hallmark in order to pursue a bigger career at GAC Family. It is currently Hallmark’s greatest competitor. Bure will not only perform in and produce original programming for the cable network. She will also take on an executive role within the firm, according to TVLine. She will work with GAC Family and GAC Living to create high-quality material that aligns with their goals and beliefs.

GAC Family, as observed by Vulture, is a network that places a greater emphasis on faith and family than Hallmark. GAC Family is less likely to feature progressive Christmas programming, which could be another reason for Bure’s departure. Bure, after all, cites “faith” as one of the reasons she’s looking forward to working with GAC.

Bure stated in a statement that she is very pleased to develop wonderful family and faith-filled programs. She wants to make the kinds of tales her family and she likes to watch. “I’m always seeking new methods to motivate people to live lives with meaning.” GAC is a fantastic fit for my brand. We both have the same goal of delivering captivating wholesome content for an audience that wants to watch programs for and with their entire family.

Bill Abbott runs the newly rebranded GAC Family

Bill Abbott, the former CEO of Hallmark Channel’s parent company Crown Media Family Networks, now runs the newly rebranded GAC Family, as previously reported. Following Hallmark’s decision to discontinue running a commercial showcasing a same-sex wedding — a decision the network immediately reversed amid a wave of controversy. Abbott quit his lengthy Crown Media role in January 2020.
