Lisa Rinna is being criticized for her take on cancer
Lisa Rinna delivered a few controversial statements during the finale episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12 that aired on Wednesday night.
If you didn’t know, during the episode, Rinna claimed that she would, ‘get sick and get cancer’ if she did not share her alleged secrets about Kathy Hilton.
However, the remark about cancer is not sitting well with the scientists who are researching the disease.
A representative for the American Institute for Cancer Research told TMZ
Moreover, the scientists stated that the 59 years old actress is completely incorrect about how cancer enters the body.
They added that as of now there is no evidence to prove that stress might be one of the causes of cancers.
Additionally, the AICR spokesperson mentioned that Rinna’s information about cancer development is ‘certainly not based on reputable research.’
Regardless, they have stated that Rinna has most likely ‘taken a popular (but likely false) concept’ about cancer. Furthermore, she shared it with the audience just to escalate the drama.
Camille Grammer disses Lisa Rinna for her cancer comment
A fan shared a clip of Lisa Rinna’s cancer comment on Twitter. They further asked Camille Grammer’s views on the statement.
The fan wrote, ‘I’m curious [Camille Grammer] how you feel after seeing Lisa use cancer like this to excuse her poor [behavior] when you’ve lived through it? Disgusting.’
The 54-year-old star replied by slamming her former co-star.
She said, ‘I had cancer so I thought this was in poor taste. Pathetic.’
Grammer has battled cancer twice as of now. Back in 2013, she was diagnosed with Stage 2 Endometrial Cancer and shortly after underwent a radical hysterectomy. Then nearly five years later in 2017, she was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma cancer.
Additionally, the mother of two shared her thoughts on cancer during an interview with PEOPLE magazine at that time.
She said, ‘Cancer really stinks. It’s unfortunate it runs in my family. I was diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome 15 years ago, so I have a genetic disposition to cancer.’
