BTS receive plaques after officially being appointed as global ambassador for World Expo 2030 Busan

BTS once more made South Korea proud on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, when they were chosen to represent the world at World Expo 2030 Busan. The appointment ceremony was place at the HYBE corporate office in Seoul’s Yongsan district. The biggest stars in K-pop received plaques as official recognition of their status as worldwide ambassadors.
The K-pop septet showed up to the ceremony dressed elegantly in suits. In addition to hosting numerous promotional events, South Korea will be represented by RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. The Global Busan Concert, which has already been confirmed for October 2022, will be the first of the planned events.
The Dynamite singers’ fanbase, known as ARMY, flocked to social media to share their pride at seeing their idols make history once more.

BTS becomes the worldwide ambassador of World Expo 2030 Busan, making fans happy
At the beginning of July 2022, HYBE first revealed plans for the K-pop sensation BTS to be named as the world ambassadors for World Expo 2030 Busan. It was revealed that the septet will perform a concert as part of promotional activities in Busan in the upcoming months. One of the nations that has submitted a bid to host the World Expo 2030 is South Korea.
On July 19, in front of the world, the Grammy-nominated K-pop group was formally chosen as the ambassador. The septet’s leader, RM, declared that the group would do all possible to advance South Korea’s cause abroad.
“We are honored to be appointed as ambassadors for World Expo 2030 Busan. BTS will do our best to support in bringing the World Expo 2030 to Busan. Starting with the Global Busan Concert in October, we will carry out various ambassador activities.”
A notable guest during the appointment ceremony was Park Heong-joon, the mayor of Busan Metropolitan City. He expressed his views on the Butter septet’s contribution to South Korea’s World Expo 2030 Busan bid. He stated:
The hosting of the World Expo in Busan in 2030 will advance national goals and serve as a powerful impetus for balanced national growth. BTS is getting ready for the October Global Busan Concert. I am confident that through the performance, millions and billions of people from around the world would support Busan’s ambition to host the World Expo in 2030.
ARMYs shared the good news on social media by highlighting the septet’s other noteworthy accomplishments. The most recent achievement of the group is serving as the global ambassadors of World Expo 2030 Busan.

BTS has already represented South Korea on a number of international platforms. The septet set the path for future K-pop idols in ways that can probably never be replicated, from being named the Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generations and Culture to being the first Korean singers called to the White House.
