Britney Spears revealed that she had been told by her sister Jamie Lynn to “stop fighting” their father’s conservatorship. In Rolling Stone’s excerpt from Spears’ new memoir, The Woman in Me, she writes that, after being placed in a mental health facility unknowingly in 2018, she reached out to her sister. “Stop fighting it…,” she was told in response. There’s absolutely nothing you could be doing about it, so give up.” “This might seem crazy, however, I’m speaking the truth; I believed they were going to make an attempt to murder me,” she stated. “I didn’t understand how Jamie Lynn & our father had developed quite a good relationship.”

The singer revealed her dissatisfaction with her sister’s behaviour, saying Lynn should have “taken [her] side.” “While I was battling the conservatorship & garnering a lot of press coverage, she was working on a book about it.” Spears claimed, “She hurried out salacious allegations against me, most of them cruel and outrageous.” Spears, on the other hand, expressed her desire to one day reconcile with her sister, stating, “She remains my sister, and I truly love her & her beautiful family.” I’m trying to be more compassionate than angry towards her and everyone else who has hurt me.” Spears responded to the media headlines made by snippets seen by the press before the memoir’s launch on October 24.

Britney Spears Revealed In Her New Memoir That Her Sister Jamie Lynn Advised Her To “Stop Fighting” The Conservatorship

Britney Spears has called out her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears for “capitalising” on her pain. The ‘Toxic’ singer, 41, renders the allegation in her memoir ‘The Woman in Me,’ which is set to be released on Tuesday (24.10.23), and claims her 32-year-old sibling profited from her pain throughout her controversial 13-year conservatorship, which noticed their father take charge of her life as well as multi-million dollar fortune. “As I was battling the conservatorship and getting a lot of media coverage, she was working on a book capitalising on it,” Britney claims in her planned book about Jamie, which will be published two months following the singer’s conservatorship ends in November 2021. She hurriedly published lurid things about me, several of which were unpleasant and outrageous.” Britney wrote her sister a cease-and-desist letter requesting that she leave her sister out of her “ill-timed” press tour on the exact same day Jamie Lynn’s book was launched in January 2022. Britney has previously labelled Jamie Lynn “scum” on social media.

Britney maintains the contrary is true, as stated in her much-anticipated book. She contacted her sister for assistance after being admitted to a mental health hospital in 2018, only to be met with resistance. Jamie Lynn, as reported by Britney, responded, “Stop fighting it… there’s absolutely nothing you could do about it, therefore stop fighting it.” She continued, “This may seem crazy, but I’ll repeat it again because it’s the truth: I believed they had plans to try to kill me.”I was unable to comprehend how Jamie Lynn & our father have such a close relationship. She was aware that I was seeking assistance from her as well as that she was following me. I believed she should have sided with me.” Spears, on the other hand, expressed her desire to one day reconcile with her sister, stating, “She continues to be my sister, and I respect her & her beautiful family.” I’m trying to be more compassionate than angry towards her and everyone else who has hurt me.” Spears responded to the media headlines made by snippets seen by the press before of the memoir’s release on October 24. “My book’s intention was not intended to offend anybody by any means,” she said in an Instagram statement. That was me back then… in the past!!!”
