Brie Larson unsure whether she will return as Captain Marvel for new MCU projects

Brie Larson recently admitted that she does not know whether she will reprise her role of Captain Marvel for any more Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

Brie Larson bluntly talks about Captain Marvel’s future
Brie Larson recently attended the D23 Expo on Saturday to unveil the first look of her upcoming film The Marvels. She was joined alongside fellow co-stars Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris.
The movie is directed by Nia DaCosta and is set to hit the big screens on 28th July 2023. It will be a part of Phase Five of the MCU.

Regardless, when a reporter from Variety asked about her future as Captain Marvel in the MCU projects, Larson gave a sarcastic response.
The reporter questioned, ‘How long will you play Captain Marvel?’
The Oscar-winning actress wryly responded with, ‘I don’t know. Does anyone want me to do it again?’
She further added, ‘I really don’t know. I don’t know the answer to that.’
The 32-year-old star made her debut in the MCU in the 2019 film Captain Marvel. However, the movie was infamously review-bombed on the internet as the users slammed it for being sexist towards men.
Nevertheless, Larson was not bothered when she addressed the backlash back in 2019.
She said during an interview with Variety, ‘I don’t have time for it, you know?’
Larson continued, ‘The things that I have extra time to really look at are, like: Am I eating healthy food? Am I drinking water? Am I meditating? Have I called my mom today?’
Furthermore, she mentioned, ‘I have genuinely never needed to look at the internet to explain to me who I am.’

Brie Larson faces backlash over her recent comments
It seems like Brie Larson is under hot waters with the fans for the statements she made at D23 Expo.
The fans took to Twitter to slam the actress over her blunt response during an interview with Variety.
One fan wrote, She thinks she’s being witty, but it comes off as hostile. This looks to be another instance where she thinks she’s being playful but isn’t coming off that way.’
Additionally, another tweeted, ‘Why does Brie Larson go out of her way to be as insufferable and unlikable as possible in so many interviews? Probably has one of the most inflated egos of any actor working in Hollywood today.’
Honest answer: Brie always came across as very smug and arrogant in her interviews when Cap Marvel came out. She thinks she’s being witty, but it comes off as hostile. This looks to be another instance where she thinks she’s being playful but isn’t coming off that way.
