Brian Laundrie Autopsy Report: Laundrie’s Remains Showed Animal ‘Gnawing and Chewing’ Marks

Brian Laundrie’s cause of death has been revealed by an autopsy report. The Sarasota Medical Examiner’s office released a 47-page-autopsy report of the same. The report highlighted that Brian Laundrie shot himself, following a massive amount of carnivores activity.
Brian Laundrie’s Disappearance
Upon returning to Laundrie’s parents’ Florida home without Gabby Petito after their trip, the authorities began looking for her. Her family reported Gabby missing on September 11, and two days later, her boyfriend Brian Laundrie vanished from his parents’ house. Just a few weeks before she passed away, they had been on a cross-country trip in a van but it turned sour. Laundrie’s parents, Chris and Roberta Laundrie, had come under fire for not speaking to Petito’s family or turning him into police when he returned home from his trip. On September 13, he left the family home 2 days after her family reported her disappearance.
Brian Laundrie’s Corpse Discovered
Following a six-week-long manhunt, the investigators found Brian Laundrie’s body in a swamp in Florida. The medical examiner revealed the cause of Brian Laundrie’s death on Monday. The autopsy report revealed that Gabby Petito’s killer’s body was a victim of the massive amount of carnivores’ activity.
Reports revealed that he died of a gunshot in his head. Following this, wild animals scavenged and ate his dead body. The piles of skeletal remains remained scattered over the ground in plain sight, and that was all that remained when authorities finally found his body. A second scene adjacent to Laundrie’s corpse yielded animal skeletal remains indicating that he had been hunting before his death.
Brian Laundrie’s Personal Belongings Discovered As Well!
The report revealed that search groups discovered a backpack and shoes belonging to Brian Laundrie on October 20, 2021. Among his other belongings, there was a notebook that contained his confession or murdering his fiance Gabby Petito. He murdered his fiance when they were traveling in a van across the country.
Authorities found Laundrie’s remains near his North Port home, as well as a wooden box that contained his journal as well as several photos. They recovered other items, including a journal from a drybag near his remains. As part of the discovery of the remains, authorities recovered ‘the majority of the skeleton of Laundrie,’ apart from a few teeth and a few bones on his face, the filing continues, adding a toxicology report found no signs of drug use before his death.
According to the document, authorities recovered green shorts, shoes, a handgun, a backpack, and a ring from the remains. The ring was partially covered by ‘overgrown vegetation.’
Laundrie’s body contained multiple gouges and gnawing marks, showing that there had been moderately extensive carnivore activity. There is evidence of carnivores and/or omnivores living in those areas, including dogs, coyotes, rodents and raccoons among others. However, the skeletal remains as well as all the personal belongings lay scattered on the ground.
