The rapper DaBaby is facing a lawsuit from DaniLeigh’s brother over a viral video. It purports to show him being attacked in a bowling alley “without warning.”
Brandon Bills filed a lawsuit against rapper DaBaby on Wednesday (Feb. 16) in Los Angeles court, claiming the rapper physically assaulted him “without warning” as he walked by the rapper. A major assault left him suffering “severe pain and injuries” as well as psychological damage.
The brawl was recorded on video
In the bowling alley, Brandon was in the process of walking by DaBaby when she suddenly attacked him. DaBaby claims Brandon did not fight back, saying he sustained medical bills and sustained disability as a result of her assault.
The brawl was caught on camera, spilling into the bowling lanes. Brandon was kicked in the head while lying on the ground. Police are now investigating DaBaby for assault with a deadly weapon.
It was self-defense, according to DaBaby. He was stopped from bowling at Corbin Bowl in Topanga, CA.
The legal action came after a video emerged showing DaBaby attacking Bills as he played bowling at a bowling alley called Corbin Bowl in the San Fernando Valley. A video then showed the two men fighting and spilling onto the bowling lanes before other people attacked Bills. His public statements have been that he acted in self-defense.
According to the lawsuit, Farid Yaghoubtil and Anthony Werbin named Corbin Bowl as defendants and claimed the establishment failed to prevent the incident attack through lawful negligence.
DaniLeigh and DaBaby’s relationship timeline
DaBaby and DaniLeigh were colleagues before they became a couple. DaBaby, who was featured on DaniLeigh’s single Levi High not too long after, was co-choreographed by her for the video of his song “Bop.”
Their chemistry was evident in the video and in behind-the-scenes footage. Yet it wasn’t until Mariah aka Meme, DaBaby’s ex-girlfriend and baby mother, began to talk about their relationship that the relationship became news.
The truth about DaniLeigh and DaBaby’s relationship was exposed via social media by Meme, but she hadn’t announced it.
