On February 17, 2023, American rapper Blueface took to Instagram to express his disappointment over Chris Brown mentioning his rocky relationship with Chrisean Rock over Instagram. This came after fans raised the issue of Brown’s assault on Rihanna in 2009. According to Brown, Blueface and Rock’s abusive relationship did not receive the same level of public scrutiny as Chris Brown’s relationship. The Holy Moly singer responded by saying that everyone, including Brown, must take responsibility and deal with the consequences of their actions.

As a result of the song, Cheetah Girls singer Kiely Williams spoke out, which led to Breezy feuding with her online. As part of his Instagram Story, Brown compared his history of abuse towards women with that of Blueface and Chrisean Rock, who have consistently made headlines over their own unhealthy relationships.
