Rapper Blueface, whose real name is Johnathan Porter, has been sentenced to four years in prison after violating the terms of his probation. The 27-year-old artist was found with drug paraphernalia, which led to the maximum sentence being handed down on Friday. Blueface’s probation stems from a series of legal issues dating back to 2021, including assault and other related charges.

The news was confirmed by Blueface’s father, Johnathan Porter Sr., in an emotional video shared on social media. Visibly distraught, he shared the outcome with fans, saying, “You can probably tell the results by the way I look… They gave him four years. Stay strong.” His mother, Karlissa, also addressed supporters, expressing both disappointment and hope. “We didn’t get the verdict that we wanted today, but we got some closure,” she said. “He’s in his right frame of mind… We’re all hopeful for this to go by smooth and quickly.”

Despite the harsh sentence, Blueface’s manager, Wack 100, remains optimistic that the rapper could be released much sooner than expected. Wack 100 estimated that Blueface could be credited for 440 days already served and suggested that, under California law, he might only need to serve a third of the remaining sentence. “He got four years, 400-something days off,” Wack explained. “Comes down to three years, he go to state… he’ll be home in nine to 10 months.”

Blueface’s legal troubles have been ongoing. In September 2021, he was placed on probation following an altercation with a nightclub bouncer in Los Angeles. Additionally, he was involved in a 2022 shooting at a Las Vegas strip club, for which he accepted a plea deal that also resulted in probation. His probation violations have been numerous, leading to a six-month county jail sentence earlier this year after he shoved a fan during a performance.

The recent probation violation involving drug paraphernalia was the final straw, forcing the judge to impose the maximum sentence. Blueface’s legal team had successfully delayed his sentencing in the past, but this latest infraction left no room for leniency.

Adding to the rapper’s legal woes, his girlfriend, Chrisean Rock, is currently facing her own legal challenges. She was recently extradited to Northeast Oklahoma Community Corrections Center on charges related to possession of dangerous controlled substances with intent to sell. The couple shares an 11-month-old son, Chrisean Jesus Jr.

Both of Blueface’s parents were in court on Friday to support their son, but they were devastated by the outcome. Karlissa, however, remains hopeful, telling fans that her son has turned over a new leaf while behind bars. She reassured them that despite the sentence, they are looking forward to the future with optimism.

Blueface’s manager, Wack 100, continues to advocate for his early release, holding onto the hope that the rapper will be home within 10 months. As the situation unfolds, fans and family alike are left to wait and see how Blueface’s prison sentence will ultimately play out. Meanwhile, the legal troubles surrounding both Blueface and Chrisean Rock have cast a shadow over their lives, leaving their future uncertain.
