Blake Lively Confirms She Will Not Attend Met Gala 2023: Here’s Why

Blake Lively has revealed to her disappointed fans that she is opting to skip this year’s, Met Gala.

Blake Lively, who has been a staple on the red carpet of the Met Gala for the last couple of years, confirmed on Thursday that she will not attend the event this year.

Moreover, the It Ends with Us actress confirmed the news during the grand re-opening of the Tiffany & Co. Fifth Avenue that was held in New York City.

In addition, when the reports asked her whether they will see her at the annual biggest night in fashion Lively replied, ‘You will not.’

However, the 35-year-old actress added, ‘But I will be watching.’

Furthermore, after getting complimented on the Atelier Versace gown she wore for the 2022 event, Lively jokingly stated, ‘Thank you, that’s very sweet. I’ll be wearing that on my couch on Monday.’

If you didn’t know, Lively welcomed her fourth child with her husband Ryan Reynolds in February 2023. 

Besides that, she debuted the baby bump of her fourth pregnancy in September last year on the red carpet of the 10th Annual Forbes Power Women’s Summit. 

But it is important to note that the couple has not yet announced the arrival of their fourth kid.

It is assumed that Lively gave birth when she shared a picture of herself alongside Reynolds and his mother Tammy. The Simple Favor star was seen without her baby bump during the photo.

She outlined the post with a caption that read, ‘Puppy Bowl Sunday 2023… been busy.’

Lively shared three daughters, James, Inez, and Betty with Reynolds.
