Kanye West Announces On Instagram That He Will Not Perform
Kanye West, the rapper made an announcement that he will not perform at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival that is to be held in April over a rife with Billie Eilish. The rapper took to Instagram regarding the same. Billie Eilish’s interaction with a fan during their concert held on Saturday seemed to have offended Travis Scott. As a result, Kanye West said that he will not perform in his show unless Billie Eilish apologizes to Travis Scott.
The Coachella Valley Music And Arts is an event many people look forward to. The music festival will take place from April 15-17 and 22-24 at Empire Polo Club in Indio. The Instagram post reveals that Travis Scott will accompany Kanye West to the show.
The controversy
The controversy began during Billie Eilish’s show as a part of “Happier Than Ever” tour held in Atlanta. The rapper noticed a fan was in distress. She halted the show so that her crew could get the fan an inhaler. She repeated asked the fan if he was okay and if he needed to come out.
TMZ posted a video that revealed Billie Eilish telling the audience that she waits for her audience to be okay before she continues. Kanye West is under the impression that Billie Eilish was trying to diss Travis Scott by performing this stunt.
Kanye West draws a relation to an incident occurring in August. In August, Travis Scott performed at the Astroworld Festival and an unfortunate incident occurred in the same. Ten people died during the concert due to a stampede as the audience crowded the venue.
Kanye West’s Instagram post read that Billie Eilish must apologize to Travis Scott and to the families of people who lost their lives at the concert. He further added that Travis Scott was unaware of what was going on while he was performing. Moreover, he was extremely hurt at the unfortunate incident. He revealed that Travis Scott will accompany him to Coachella but before that he wants Billie Eilish to apologize to him.
Billie Eilish Replies To Kanye West
Billie Eilish replied to Kanye West’s Instagram post. She took to the comments section wherein she said that she literally never said a thing about Travis. She was just trying to help out a fan and it had no relation with what happened at Travis Scott’s show.
Billie Eilish will also be performing in the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 16 and 23.
