A number of critics have commented on Billie Eilish changing style recently, and she expresses disappointment in them. In a series of posts on social media, the Grammy winner addressed the comments people left on her posts, telling her that she’s “changed” and a “sellout” for embracing a more feminine style. Billie Eilish stated on her since-expired Instagram Stories, I spent the first 5 years of my career being completely OBLITERATED for dressing like a boy and dressing how as a result, I was constantly told that if I acted like a woman, I would look hotter. Now, I feel comfortable enough to wear anything remotely feminine, she has changed and is a sellout and ‘what happened to her’ oMg iT’s not thE sAmE Billie she’s just like the rest blah blah you guys are true idiots.

Oh my gosh. You fucking bozos, I can be both. LET WOMEN BE! Following up with an Instagram Story, the Oscar winner explained that women do not have to solely embrace a particular style or fashion trend. In the past, the musician has explained why she wore oversized, casual clothing when she first broke through. If she were a man wearing baggy clothes, nobody would notice, she said in an interview with NME in January 2019. Furthermore, she pointed out that people have told her that if she wore tight clothing, she would look better and be more successful. She explained in her Calvin Klein campaign later that year that she wore big, loose clothes to keep people from commenting on her body.

In an interview with NME in January 2019, Eilish stated that if she were a male wearing loose clothes, no one would notice. She also stated that others have told her that if she wore tight clothes, she would be attractive and her career would be more successful. Later that year, in her Calvin Klein campaign, Eilish elaborated on her decision to wear big, baggy garments, claiming that it was a means to distract people from talking about her physique. Nobody can form an opinion since they haven’t seen what’s beneath,” she explained. There is no way anyone can say, ‘Oh, she’s slim-thick, she’s not slim-thick, she’s got a flat ass, she’s got a fat ass. They can’t say anything because they don’t know.
