Attorney General of Florida sues Amanda Zachman’s real estate company

Amanda Zachman is being dragged into court over Pennsylvania’s attorney general claims that her company is involved in a ‘homeowner benefits’ scam.

According to the legal documents obtained by TMZ, AG Josh Shapiro is determined to take legal action against Zachman and her Florida-based company, MV Realty.

Moreover, the documents mention that Zachman’s agency offers customers a one-time upfront payment. Additionally, they scam them by claiming that they will have exclusive rights to list their homes on the real estate market for nearly 40 years.

In addition, they reportedly ask for an amount typically between $400 and $700.

Meanwhile, Shapiro says that the customers will face draconian penalties if they withdraw from the agreement before four decades.

Additionally, he claims that Zachman’s company did not clarify the risks in the fine print. He also states that Zachman did not reveal the possibility of penalties to the homeowners.

Besides that, Shapiro notes that MV Realty extracted nearly 1,000 mortgages from homeowners who were unaware of the fines.

Furthermore, the documents add that the company allegedly misled the homeowners with their phone sales pitch. They claim that the customers will face no risk or cost until they decide to sell.

Shapiro on the other hand tells that a bunch of homeowners has called him at his office saying that they have been defrauded.

MV Realty’s response to the Attorney General of Florida claims

Amanda Zachman’s company MV Realty has released a statement to address the alleged claims against them.

It begins with, ‘MV Realty has helped more than 30,000 satisfied clients nationwide through our Homeowner Benefit Agreement (HBA) by providing our clients up to $5,000.’

Additionally, it states, ‘New and innovative business models, like the HBA. It can transform established industries. It can sometimes draw questions from critics or outright hostility from those whose existing business model is threatened. However, to suggest that MV Realty has engaged in unfair or deceptive practices is simply false.’

They concluded the message by saying, ‘After a full airing of the facts, we are confident that the conclusion will be that MV Realty’s business transactions are in full compliance with Pennsylvania law.’
