However, these rumors have been proven false. Beyoncé has not initiated any lawsuits against news outlets, despite online claims to the contrary. The only official legal response from the couple’s team has been directed at Wright’s statements. The speculation regarding legal action was addressed on social media, where users of X (formerly known as Twitter) quickly debunked the claims. One post shared by the popular account Pop Tingz included context provided by users, which read:
“Although Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s attorneys recently criticized Piers Morgan for his comparisons regarding the accusations against P. Diddy, there is no indication that they are pursuing legal action against any media outlets.”
The rumor seemingly originated from confusion following the couple’s legal response to Wright’s remarks and quickly spread, despite having no factual basis. The clarification from users on X and media outlets like E! News has helped set the record straight, dispelling the viral post.

Piers Morgan Apologizes to Beyoncé and Jay-Z
Following the controversial episode featuring Jaguar Wright, Piers Morgan issued a formal apology to Beyoncé and Jay-Z. On the October 8, 2024 episode of his show, Morgan revealed that he received a legal letter regarding the claims made by Wright. The letter, from the Carters’ attorney Alex Spiro, prompted Morgan to remove the statements from the original interview.

Morgan addressed the situation by stating, “As I said in the moment, they were not present to respond or defend themselves, but now they have. We had lawyers contact us to say that those claims were totally false and have no basis in fact, and we’ve therefore complied with a legal request to cut them from the original interview.”
The television host also explained his decision to feature Wright, stating that Uncensored is a platform where individuals are given the opportunity to speak freely. However, he acknowledged that legal boundaries must be respected, comparing the situation to the metaphorical “crying fire in a crowded theater.”

Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s Lawyer Responds to Wright’s Allegations
While Morgan has since apologized, the legal response from Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s attorney Alex Spiro has garnered significant attention. Speaking to TMZ on October 9, 2024, Spiro expressed his frustration over the baseless allegations made by Wright on Piers Morgan Uncensored. He explained that the remarks were not only false but also damaging to his clients.
“There’s rumors, and then there’s nonsense, and this is one step further,” Spiro said. He commended Morgan for removing the claims from the broadcast but emphasized that the damage was already done. Spiro added, “It didn’t just harm the Carters. What he did, effectively, was to drown out the voices of actual victims in an ongoing case, in an ongoing investigation. And that was too much for me.”
While the rumor of Beyoncé’s legal action against the media has been debunked, it’s clear that her legal team remains vigilant in defending her and Jay-Z against false claims.
