Becky G is under hot waters after it was announced that she will be presented with the key to the city of Coachella. However, the mayor is coming in her defense by stating multiple reasons why she deserves the honor.

Coachella Mayor stands by his decision to give Becky G the key to the city
Becky G, who performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival Friday, will receive a metaphorical key to the city the following day.
However, it seems like many online users are not impressed with the announcement.
In addition, many users have slammed the singer for receiving the honor with one calling the decision, the ‘stupidest thing ever.’
Moreover, another user pointed out that Becky G has not done, ‘anything for the community plus they are not local.’
Additionally, many users have also begun calling for Coachella Mayor Steven Hernandez to get the boot.
Nevertheless, Hernandez is standing by his decision and considers it a fitting move.
He told TMZ, ‘Becky has been incredibly supportive of the farm worker community through her work with Celebration Nation who held an event at our Veteransโ Memorial Park yesterday distributing food and other staples to our residents in need.’
Subsequently, he said that Becky G is honoring her culture and is a major advocate on behalf of women everywhere.
Hernandez claimed that he will be happy if the people of the city get to enjoy a little bit of the music festival w ith Becky’s hosting ceremony.

Becky G performs at Coachella 2023 weekend 2
Becky G took the stage of Coachella as the music festival entered its second weekend.
Furthermore, she performed on the first day of weekend 2 while wearing an all-pink custom-made outfit. Nevertheless, it was quite similar to the blue sparkling outfit Becky wore on the first weekend at Coachella this year.
Additionally, she shared a series of pictures from her performance on her official Instagram account.
Becky completed her sparkling look with a pink cowboy hat.
Also, she went ahead to perform with Natti Natasha again on the second weekend of the desert music festival.
She outlined the post with a caption that read, ‘Mi Gente. There are no words. Agradecida y bendecida. It’ll take me a minute to process all that was these last two weekends. But for now, just’ THANK YOU.’
Besides that, Bad Bunny again headlined the first day of weekend 2 at Coachella 2023.
