Bang Yedam and Takata Mashiho are officially departing from the K-pop group TREASURE.

TREASURE’s agency, YG Entertainment took to the group’s Weverse to share that the Korean group will become a ten-member group following the exit of Bang Yedam and Takata Mashiho.
Moreover, the statement revealed that they ‘mutually agreed’ to terminate the contracts of Mashiho and Bang Yedam after a ‘long and careful discussion’ between all parties.
The statement further read, ‘TREASURE transforms into a ten-member group – consisting of Choi Hyun suk, Jihoon, Yoshi, Junkyu, Yoon Jae Hyuk, Asahi, Doyoung, Haruto, Park Jeong woo, and So Jung hwan.’
Why did Bang Yedam and Takata Mashiho decide to leave TREASURE?
YG Entertainment explained the reason behind Bang Yedam and Takata Mashiho’s sudden exit.
They wrote, ‘We have reached such agreement so that Mashiho can have enough time to recover from his health condition, and Bang Ye Dam can pursue his career as a producer.’
Besides that, the company concluded the statement by wishing good luck to the two departing members.
They said, ‘Knowing that all of TREASURE’s fans have been waiting for Mashiho and Bang Ye Dam, we are very sad about their departure as they have been with TREASURE from the beginning. We ask for your continuing support for Mashiho and Bang Ye Dam.’

Fans caused an uproar on Twitter following the announcements of Bang Yedam and Takata Mashiho leaving TREASURE.

Moreover, many fans reaffirmed that they will always regard TREASURE as a 12-member team despite the exit of two members.
